Colton Burtch is a 2027 C/RHP, 1B, 3B, SS with a 5-5 150 lb. frame from McDonough, GA who attends Union Grove Middle School. Medium, athletic build. Recorded a 8.60 60-yard dash time. Primary catcher with a developing defensive skill set behind the plate. Starts in a high side-saddle position, fundamental receiver, long exchange and arm swing. Herky jerky arm action to a higher release, was accurate around the bag, still developing arm strength, recorded throws up to 63 mph and a pop-time of 2.38. Also worked out in the infield, limited range to either side, step by step action getting to the ball, fields the ball out front with two hands, longer exchange. Solid arm strength across the diamond for the age, recorded throws up to 72 mph. Right-handed hitter with high hands and an open front side in the stance. Slight heel lift trigger gets the swing started.Sprayed soft liners all over the field, struggled to get extended consistently. Good foundation to build upon as he continues to get stronger. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
