2023 Rocky Mountain Workout Showcase (Fri.)
Gavin Gross is a 2027 OF/RHP, 3B with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from King Of Prussia, PA who attends Pope John Paul II. Wiry build with good length for the class, will easily add muscle onto this. Ran a 7.83 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, slow build to it, two hands off to side gather, developing feel to get on top and limit arc, has it in there with some tweaks, lot of time to fill out and add, will improve. Right-handed hitter, bent stance, hands start away from chest and load to back shoulder, in sync with trigger, glides out, short lift to stride, found a few solid barrels in the round, inconsistent results but flashed it nicely when level and extended, gets lower half involved, some bat speed here on him. Projectable body to fill into with some hand speed in the box, lots of time to make tweaks and grow as a player with some projection in there. Excellent student.
