Tai Richmond is a 2026 1B/LHP/OF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Greensboro, NC who attends Grimsley. Athletic build with some present young strength and plenty more in his future. Left handed hitter, hits from a high hand start with a big lower half shift into contact, good hip turn and gets into his lower half very well, swings hard with nice present bat speed, quality extension through contact, is looking to drive and lift the ball and consistently did in the games and batting practice. 7.57 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman who has all the athleticism and tools to play the outfield well. Also pitched and is a two way prospect. Works from a full windup with a 3/4's arm slot, gets down the mound well, arm is loose and easy out front. Fastball worked in the low 80's with good life through the zone, velocity played up due a very good change up with hard diving action, had confidence in his change and threw it often. Also showed nice spin on a slurvy breaking ball. Young player to follow closely. Named to the 13U/14U Sunshine Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
