Rahul Patel is a 2026 RHP/1B, 3B with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from San Jose, CA. Features an average build with room to add more. Primary righthanded pitcher. Utilizes a semi-windup delivery into slight drop and drive mechanics down the mound. Will occasionally use a slight hesitation at the top of the leg lift. Hides the ball well using a short arm action out of a 3/4 slot. Repeats the low effort operation well. The fastball sat 71-75 mph with slight armside run. Showed the ability to throw the pitch for strikes often. Will get it in on right-handed hitters at times. Paired the fastball with a downward breaking curveball at 63-66 mph. Has confidence in the pitch and will throw it early and often. Lands it for strikes on a consistent basis. Hitters struggle to pitch it up out of the hand. Movement and velocity difference generates a fair share of whiffs. Also worked out at first base. Moved well in both directions. Caught the ball well throughout defensive workouts. Arm strength and accuracy played across the diamond. Left-handed hitter. Utilizes an open stance with a high back elbow setup. Shifts weight hard not the backside using a simple, single step load. Uses a pure pullside approach. Slight uppercut path produces a fair share of line drives in that direction. More power should come as strength is added to the frame. Ran an 8.04 60-yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
