Cameron Johnson is a 2024 RHP/IF/OF with a 6-5 215 lb. frame from Waco, TX who attends Midway. Extra-large frame with good physicality and more to fill into. Ran a 7.05 second 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, good presence on the mound, smooth and easy delivery as he drives down the mound well, arm works well, clean arm stroke and gets through three-quarters slot to release. Good carrying life to the fastball up to 88 already, stays behind it and commands it well, four pitches for strikes in the mix, curveball has tight 12-to-6 shape with late bite, sells and tunnels the changeup well and used slider with good tilt and late depth. Arm plays both in the infield and outfield, slower approach to the ball and a corner profile guy. Righthanded hitter, swings it hard, works uphill slightly to lift the ball, has strength behind it but developing approach. Great student. Named to 2022 Sunshine Texas Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
