Talyn Slater is a 2025 1B/LHP, OF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Norwalk, IA who attends Valley. Medium size frame. Ran a 7.97 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman that moved the feet well around the bag, has fundamental footwork, soft hands with clean actions, stays under control well, accurate feeds to bases with developing arm strength. Hit from an even base at the plate, spins on the backside, vertical bat angle through the zone, developing barrel control and strength in the swing. Fastball and change up on the mound out of a three-quarter slot. Developing arm speed, some feel of the change up and pitchability on the mound. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
