DJ Kerr is a 2024 2B/RHP, SS with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Lake Elsinore, CA who attends Linfield Christian. Recorded a 8.65 second sixty yard dash time. Primary second baseman, fields it our front and shows a short arm action with a high release. Segmented actions at present, has some softness to the hands, developing quickness. Secondary right-handed pitcher, features a high-waisted frame with some upper body strength. Semi-windup delivery. Drop and drive mechanics. Quick down the mound. Short, quick arm action from high ¾ slot. Hides ball well throughout delivery. Short leg kick and speed of delivery creates some deception. Repeats delivery well. Still refining command but control is there. Curveball sat 56-59 mph with big, 12-6 break. Lacked bite but movement generated a fair amount of whiffs. Hitters struggled to stay back. Used primarily in two-strike counts. Occasionally mixed in early. Wasn’t scared to go back to back with offering. Despite not having wowing stuff, Kerr’s ability to throw strikes and change velocity allowed him to to compete well. Right-handed hitter with an open stance and a low hand set. Middle to pull side approach with a line drive swing path, slower and methodical load with a leg lift trigger. Has some feel for the barrel and found it often during his round, just needs to develop strength to be able to impact the ball more. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
