Matthew Martinez is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 6-0 179 lb. frame from Camarillo, CA who attends Adolfo Camarillo. Medium athletic build with the beginnings of some present strength. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a big leg lift trigger that leave him late getting started at times, rotational swing with a downhill path from a high hand load, swings hard, middle of the field line drive contact, can improve as a hitter with a more simple and consistent load and trigger. 6.94 runner in the sixty, has young actions in the outfield through the ball and a low arm slot throws. Also pitched, works from the stretch with a deep arm stroke in back and a 3/4's slot out front. Fastball topped out at 78 mph with good sink and run at times, also showed a short slider, threw strikes with his fastball and was around the plate. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
