Grant Boren is a 2027 C/RHP, 3B, SS with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Westwood. Physical, athletic build with present size for age. Primary catcher, receiving skills stand out with a quick transfer and sound arm on a line. Works quick to bag and the arm strength stands out. Very good quality. Infielder, works well on the backhand and has carry across the diamond. Arm strength stood out and was accurate, developing actions at points. Also pitched, works from high over-the-top slot and shorter arm action. Repeats well and comes downhill, finishes hard. Fastball was low-80s commanded well with some life, harder breaking ball and quality changeup added to mix. Right-handed hitter, simple stride from open stance and lower hand set. Strength and bat speed on display. Works backside and can clear hips well. Lots of barreled contact in game. High level potential. Very good student Named to Top Prospect list.
