Jake Ross is a 2025 1B/RHP with a 6-5 190 lb. frame from Tinley Park, IL who attends Victor J Andrew. Extra Large frame with a lean build showing broad shoulders. Room to still add strength to the frame. Ran a 7.58 second sixty yard dash. Primary First Baseman, sitting back a bit doing a good job keeping it in front of him. Scoops it up deep in the stance. Makes sure of clean transfer and was accurate with throws. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, easy operation as he stays rhythmic in the delivery. Drops and drives under control landing direct to dish. Smooth arm stroke generating easy velocity. Fastball up to 83 mph with good arm side life. Spin rates up to 2159 rpm. Feel to spin the breaking ball with 11-to-5 movements in the upper-60's with spin rates peaking at 1729 rpm. Confident on the mound and projects here long term. Right-Handed Hitter, even in the stance with relaxed hands. Toe tap to stride as he moves the weight forward. Some juice to the middle of the field when he gets extended. Strength in the hands present. Great Student. Named to Great Lakes Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
