Jonathan McDermott is a 2025 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Simi Valley, CA who attends Thousand Oaks. Lean young build with plenty of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with an easy shift into contact, simple and repeatable swing mechanics with a clean path through contact, hits under control and maximizes squared contact, nice swing to build from as he gets stronger. 7.57 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder who shows fluid and balanced footwork moving to the ball, has some range to both sides, soft hands at the ball, makes accurate throws, might be best at second base in the future. Solid overall player who should keep improving as he matures. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
