Matthew Whittle is a 2024 3B/RHP/IF with a 6-0 156 lb. frame from Coral Springs, FL who attends Marjory Stoneman Douglas. Lanky young build with lots of room to fill in and get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a balanced in line stance, gets his upper body out front early in his swing, fires his hands hard, inside swing path with line drive contact the opposite to mid field, has some tools to develop with adjustments. 7.03 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, gets low behind the ball and works through it well, loose whippy arm from a 3/4's slot works well and projects to improve, makes accurate throws. Also pitched, has some drop and drive in his mechanics, long stride down the hill, stays on line and directional well. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, worked down in the zone consistently and got swing and miss down. Also threw a 11/5 curveball with some bite to it. Good all around athlete who should continue to improve in all areas. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
