Emrick Thompson is a 2026 2B/RHP, C, SS with a 5-5 145 lb. frame from Tucson, AZ who attends Tucson Magnet. Medium sized, average build. Ran a 8.83 60-yard dash. Only throws from the stretch on the mound, shows a shorter arm action out of a 3/4 arm slot. Sits on the back side, figuring out how to use legs to stride and drive downhill, fastball up to 73 all thrown to his arm side. Considerable feel for spinning a breaking ball, curve and slider are distinct, some depth to the curve especially. Slower approach in the infield, limited footwork, long shuffle to throw, long arm action, developing accuracy. Behind the plate side saddle set up, fairly quick transfer, much better throwing accuracy from behind the plate. Hits from a wider, straight line base. Crouched with no load, swings uphill, vertical barrel, limited barrel control, some bat speed.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
