Tyler Gluting is a 2027 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-9 135 lb. frame from Aurora, IL who attends Metea Valley. Medium, square shouldered frame with long limbs and a lean build, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.65 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, moves well on the mound, sinks into lower half with drop and drive mechanics down the mound. Moving parts to time up on the mound and into release, shows quickness to arm and topped out at 79 mph with the fastball, shows big running life to it through the zone. Challenged hitters and showed feel for a curveball up to 64 mph with nice depth and 1-7 shape with two-plane movement. Arm works well in the outfield, fields it out front and shows carry to the intended base, projects well moving forward. Left-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set at the plate. Looseness to hands and swing which he continued to show in live action with some line drive knocks the other way. Nice foundation of tools, creates whip to the barrel with extension out front. Projects well moving forward. Named to the Great Lakes Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
