Connor Whannel is a 2028 SS/IF with a 5-6 110 lb. frame from Fairfax, IA who attends Xavier. Recorded a 9.62 second sixty yard dash time. Primary shortstop, circles it well and has good feel for his footwork. Glove works well and can pick it, has a solid fundamental base with a good understanding of the position for his age. Has plenty of growing still to do, will continue to improve as he matures and gets stronger. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a clean and simple, hands over head delivery, has a short and compact arm action that stays in line through the back. Comes from a high and tight release and the operation is mechanically sound. Right-handed hitter with an even stance and a loose hand set, utilizes a small stride forward into contact. Features a short and direct hand path, doesn't get extended out front/finish the swing at times. Made consistent contact during his round, has a fundamentally sound swing and will improve as he continues to grow and get stronger. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
