Leo Trevino is a 2027 UT/RHP with a 5-6 120 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Anderson. Young, square shouldered frame with a lean build, has room to fill throughout and develop physically moving forward. Ran a 7.65 60-yard dash. Worked out around the diamond, shows clean fielding skills from the outfield, get in line well, longer arm action through the backside, arm strength and carry will continue to develop. Works behind the ball well in the outfield, shows quickness to hands and will continue to refine timing in actions, sound funnel skill and shows balance in actions; started with a turned set up behind plate in drills,, short movements throughout, clean and accuracy throws with consistency in actions, sound fundamentals with the makings of quickness in actions. Also pitched, simple and repeatable delivery on the mound, works to a three-quarters release with some extension out front; worked around the zone and filled it up with fastball, topped out at 69 mph and mixed a short breaker up to 62 mph around the zone. Right-handed hitter, employs an all fields approach and stays short to the ball with overall stroke while keeping hands tight throughout. Steep path from launch, longer through the point of contact while showing quickness to hands, has tools to build upon moving forward. Named to the 13/14u Texas Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
