2023 Deep South Prospect Showcase
Lane Bizzell is a 2026 OF/LHP, 1B with a 6-0 130 lb. frame from Blanco, TX who attends Blanco. He ran a 8.32 Sixty Yard Dash. Primary Outfielder showed a long slender frame with some athleticism with plenty of room to grow and add strength. Working through the ball well fielding to the side he catches the ball clean with quick glove to hand transfers. Coming from a high 3/4s slot the throws were inline with some cary to bases. At First base Lane showed some lateral range fielding the ball cleanly out in front with strong turns producing accurate throws across the diamond. On the mound Lane worked worked from the stretch with a hip high leg lift. He works with a short compact 3/4s arm stroke creating some deception within the operation. Bizzell commanded his straight fastball well to both sides of the plate while mixing in an 11-5 breaking ball that showed some tightness to it. More Velocity is expected to come as he continues to add additional strength. Left handed hitter works with a medium open base with a lower leg lift trigger. Working with quick hands through the zone with slight tilt to the barrel wrapping the hands around the ball generating pull side contact.
