Kaiden Hoapili is a 2023 C/RHP/SS with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from San Jose, CA who attends Prospect. Medium athletic build with some present strength and more to come. 7.94 runner in the sixty. Has quick feet behind the plate defensively, long and loose arm action with good carry and accuracy , projects well in all areas defensively. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a back tap load, swings hard and shows good bat speed and aggressiveness, solid pull side contact with some power potential in the future. Also pitched, long and deep arm action in back with plenty of upper body turn. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, threw lots of strikes with his fastball and got occasional big running action. Showed quality with both his slider and change up but relied primarily on his fastball. Good all around athlete who will keep improving. Named to the Sunshine West Showcase Top Prospect List.
