2021 Sunshine Rocky Mountain Showcase (Tues/Wed)
John Raine is a 2024 C/OF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Colorado Springs, CO who attends Lewis-Palmer. Medium, lean build. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.38 seconds. Primary catcher whose throws from behind the dish maxed out at 71 mph which led to a 2.01 pop time. Also worked out in the outfield where his throws reached as high as 77 mph. At the plate he hits out of a tall, open stance. Does a nice job of utilizing the lower half throughout his stroke which paired nicely with his advanced bat speed. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
