2006 National Underclass Showcase
Collin Snow is a 2008 RHP/3B/1B with a 6'2'', 205 lb. frame from Alpharetta GA, who attends Alpharetta HS. He has a extra large frame and nice present strength. Snow's delivery is simple and balanced and he is stable and extended out front. He has a high 3/4's release point. Snow's fastball was consistently in the low 80's and topped out at 86 mph. He had good sink and heaviness to his fastball and the ability to keep the ball down in the strike zone. His best pitch was a 70 mph curveball that had tight spin and good late downer break. He'll get a lot of outs at the next level with his breaking ball. Snow also threw a change up at 67 mph that looked like a split change with some tumble. If Snow can get his velocity consistently in the mid-80's or even higher, he'll be a very successful pitcher at the college level with his solid mechanics, heavy fastball and nice secondary pitches. He was named to the showcase Top Prospect Team. Snow is also a good student.
