LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2023 Virginia Indoor Showcase (Feb. 26)
Matthew Feldmann is a 2026 RHP/1B, 3B, OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Ashburn, VA who attends Independence. Medium frame with strong current build and durable look, especially for a pitcher. Young athlete with a lot of time to add during career. Primary RHP working from stretch only and on 3B side of rubber. Comes set a bit close with hands tight to belt, breaking from there into full inline path before accelerating through over the top angle. Gets front side up and gains distance down the mound well. Repeats delivery and lands all three pitches for strikes. FB with cutting and running action up to 78 mph and best secondary was CB with tight spin in the mid-60s but 2,200+ spin. Also showed CH with deadening spin in the upper-60s. Reps on the IF as well, showing good glove work securing the ball with ease. Short arm action here with throws up to 77 mph across the diamond. Has a feel for the IF. RHH working from a crouched even stance. Good handset with high back elbow and small hanging trigger to get things going. Downhill path to impact, showing really good hand strength at impact. Some timing concerns here and there but the components are there. Outstanding student as well.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
