2022 Memphis Prospect Showcase
Raul Sanchez is a 2026 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Millington, TN who attends Christian Brothers. Recorded a 8.05 sixty yard dash at the event. Smaller, compact frame. Primary infielder. Prep step start into an athletic fielding position. Plays low to the ground with a good first step into footwork. Slower footwork with heavy feet as he works through the ball. Will continue to get better as the frame matures. Secondary right-handed pitcher. Longer arm action on the mound. Small side step to delivery with a high knee kick and repeatable delivery. High front glove side into some extension out front. Three-quarters arm slot. Fastball was in the zone with some flatter, horizontal run. Curveball had softer 11/5 action. Right-handed hitter. Upright stance with a medium base. Extremely open front side. Minimal loading process. Upright bat path with developing bat control. Mostly fly ball contact with a pull side approach. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
