Robert Johnstone is a 2026 2B/C/SS with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Waxhaw, NC who attends Cuthbertson. Young, athletic frame with wiry muscle tone and twitch to his actions. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.49 seconds. Primary position IF, showing a quick first step, getting into his angles appropriately. Feel for the position is evident with solid glove work coming through the ball. Developing overall arm strength, nice short arm path like you want on the infield producing throws up to 70 mph across the field. Secondary C, showing on point footwork, gaining ground directly through throws. Deep, game like start as he sets up square to the mound. Smooth glove work to a clean midline transfer. Compact arm action with accurate feeds down to second with a pop-time best 2.13 seconds. RHH using very quiet mechanics, hinged at the waist and slightly open with stationary hands pre-pitch. Short path to the ball with line drive type swing with some nice projection. Repeats mechanics well and you can project gap power in the near future. Just needs time to mature and get strong physically to get to the next level because the skill set is there. Excellent student as well.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
