Matthew Moser is a 2025 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Pleasant Garden, NC who attends Southeast Guilford. Big and strong broad shouldered build, looks bigger and stronger than listed. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a low hand set, swings hard and has the strength and bat speed to impact the ball, looking to pull the ball with intent, tends to move his head in his swing which can impact his consistency and impact. 7.00 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense and is very athletic at that position, moves well with clean actions. Graded out better in the outfield and definitely has the potential to play there full-time, closes well to the ball with good footwork, has some arm strength. Also pitched, has a high leg raise delivery with a slow to fast pace, has effort at release, same type of late head movement that can throw him off as he does at the plate. Fastball topped out at 80 mph with some running action, also threw a couple of short sliders. Athletic enough to keep improving in all areas. Excellent student. Named to the Atlantic Coast Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
