Tyler Johnson is a 2023 3B/RHP, C, MIF, OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Gilbert, AZ who attends Williams Field. Ran a 7.49 60 yard dash. He's got a good projectable frame on the mound that should allow him to keep filling out. Short arm action and comes at hitters from an over the top slot. Fastball has good plane to it and he ran the pitch up to 83. The pitch has some arm side run to it at times and he primarily works down in the zone. Changeup has good fade to it and plays well under the fastball at 70. Good curveball that has 12/6 shape. Good pitchability here. The arm works well in the outfield as well. Throws have good juice to them and has a calmness to fielding the ball. At the plate, keeps his hands close and shows some pullside power. There's good bat speed here and the ball has good carry off the bat.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
