2023 Northeast Top Prospect Games @ Rutgers (Wed-Thur)
Jayden Luftman is a 2026 OF/RHP/MIF with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Upper Saddle River, NJ who attends Northern Highlands. Luftman works from a medium athletic build and provided value from a range of defensive positions over the course of his event. Starting from the OF, he showcased an aggressive build up flashing a full arm action to top out at 83 mph. He kept throws low and around the bag with arm strength that should continue to see development as a '26 prospect. He again topped out at 83 mph across the diamond, displaying soft hands and reliable glove work with lots of effort present in the mechanics. On the mound, Luftman displayed some crossfire to the release point making for a funky look for hitters. He released from a 3/4 slot with sinking action present on the FB. He successfully mixed a vertically shaped breaker to keep hitters off balance at 2227 rpm. Offensively, the righty started from a slightly open base with a high compact hand set and simple stride into impact. He consistently generated line drive contact to all parts of the field and shifted the weight effectively, posting an exit velo of 82 mph. Ran a 7.20 sixty yard dash. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
