Julian Guthrie is a 2027 RHP/1B with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Wilmington, NC who attends John T Hoggard. Large frame with some present physicality. Primary right-handed pitcher, compact operation and simple arm stroke through a three-quarters slot, inconsistent stride length and some command issues but got more confident through outing, up to 73 with fastball, challenges with it, also showed bigger 12-to-6 breaking ball with projectable spin. Also plays first base, clean actions and footwork, glove works and moves into turns well, good around bag and easy arm across. Right-handed hitter, longer hand set and linear through the zone, not a ton of impact strength right now, works the middle and pull side.
