Hugo Kohnhorst is a 2023 3B/MIF/OF with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Queens, NY who attends Fordham Prep. Big and strong athletic build. 7.25 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, has good hands fielding the ball and a quick glove to hand transition, lots of carry across the diamond, good lower half quickness, solid overall defensive tools. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with limited lower half shift into contact, has a short and compact hands driven swing, bit of a downhill angle to his swing and will show the ability to back spin the ball, well timed and controls the barrel well with a middle of the field approach, can improve as a hitter by getting more from his strong lower half. Named to the Northeast Academic Showcase Top Prospect List.
