Oscar De Luigi is a 2024 RHP/MIF, OF with a 5-11 130 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Desert Mountain. Slender build. Ran the 60-yard dash in 7.22 seconds. Primary right-handed pitcher, throws from a high three-quarter arm slot, hides the ball well throughout the delivery. The fastball sat 68-79 mph, commanded the zone well and worked quickly. The fastball was deceiving, snuck up on batters quickly causing them to be late or make weak contact. Paired it with a curveball that sat 63 mph, showed the ability to throw at any time for a strike or a swing and miss. Also worked out in the infield, moved well laterally, showed some athleticism, still developing glove actions. Threw from a lower arm angle across the diamond, was clocked up to 67 mph. At the plate, hits from a wider even base with a leg kick and a high back elbow. Displayed a direct path to the ball with slight bat speed consistently hitting the ball to the pull side. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
