Tayron Baez is a 2026 OF/RHP, 1B, 3B with a 6-4 200 lb. frame from Bayamon, PR who attends Leadership Christian Academy. Extra-large, broad shouldered frame with present strength proportioned throughout. Ran an 8.01 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, deliberate tempo on approach to the ball, shorter arm action through the back, arm heavy release and can continue to incorporate additional lower half into actions, shorter stride through the ball, shows present strength and carry on throws. Also pitched, works with intent and effort at release, does a nice job of using size to generate downhill plane from an over-the-top release point. Fastball topped out at 78 mph and showed nice spin on curveball with late biting life up to 67 mph and downer shape. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and a higher hand set which lower at start of swing. Still start, shows best contact when working on a linear plane through the zone, longer swing path overall but shows jump off of the barrel when squared, generates some whip to barrel head to the point of contact, additional strength to unlock moving forward.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
