JD Prorok is a 2026 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-3 230 lb. frame from Wentworth, SD who attends Chester. A bigger frame and build with strength present throughout. Ran an 8.24 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher with a deliberate delivery working out of the wind-up. He had a leg lift up above the belt with slower and controlled actions. He had a shorter arm action, releasing from a higher slot with some whip pulling downhill through release. The fastball worked up to 86 mph and had some arm-side run to it. He paired the pitch with a slider with good sidespin into the low-70s. Showed a changeup in the mix up to 76 mph as well. He started with a heavy fastball attack and then mixed in more offspeed later. Had success working north/south and changing eye-level with hitters to induce some whiffs. Threw 3.0 perfect innings, with 6 of the outs being punchouts. Uber is efficient on the mound. A right-handed hitter with a stronger and more physical box presence. Had a wider base with higher set hands and the back elbow up. Uses a bigger stride. He showed a quick path to it, getting to the launch position and creating some whip to it. He showed some juice throughout the round and was able to work directly and lift the ball back up the middle in the air. His best contact came working gap-to-gap during his round of BP swings. Produced an 82 mph exit velocity during his round of BP swings. Also worked out as an infielder. He worked with good actions getting to the ball and showed off a feel for the glove. Threw from a lower slot with shorter arm action. Threw 79 mph across the diamond. Great student. Named to 2023 Midwest Prospect TP List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
