Cameron McDonald is a 2025 C/RHP, 1B with a 5-11 157 lb. frame from Lees Summit, MO who attends Blue Springs South. Medium size compact frame. High set up behind the plate, gains ground on the pop, longer transfer to throw and shows developing arm strength with accuracy on throws down. Right-handed hitter with a wide base and toe tap timing at the plate. Drops the hands and takes an uphill bat path to the baseball, stays compact with a rotational swing and shows developing strength to impact the baseball. Right-handed pitcher threw exclusively from the stretch with a fastball/slider pitch combo. Releases from a three-quarter arm slot and shows average arm speed to throw mid 70's fastballs located around the zone. Breaking ball shows slurvy shape with developing feel for spin and command of the pitch. Solid average strike thrower overall. Very good student.
