2023 Fall Northeast Showcase
Jason Yuen is a 2024 OF/2B/IF with a 5-5 130 lb. frame from Northport, NY who attends Northport. Yuen works from a compact build with additional room to fill out and add strength. Exclusively from the OF, he displayed an attacking buildup with a full arm stroke to ultimately top out at 72 mph. Yuen made plays asked of him and consistently put throws on the bag with further arm strength developing in the future. Offensively, the righty started from an even base with a high hand set and high back elbow, flashing a contact oriented stroke with a direct bat path through the zone. He successfully worked the middle/opposite field with power becoming more of a factor as physicality builds. Posted an exit velo of 73 mph. Ran a 7.42 sixty yard dash. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
