Eyan Cortez is a 2025 SS/RHP with a 5-7 105 lb. frame from Sugar Land, TX who attends Stephen F Austin. Ran a 8.06 60 yard dash. Thin, projectable frame with a curled leg lift and comes at hitters from an over-the-top arm slot. Repeats his delivery well and has some athleticism on the mound. His fastball topped at 67 and flashed a feel to spin a curveball. In the infield, handles the forehand well and shows off some range to both sides. At the plate, uses the whole field well. Square stance and stays upright until he coils. Minimal stride and keeps the bat on plane well. Made good adjustments throughout his BP round and hits the ball where it's pitched.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
