LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2022 Northeast Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Ryan Done is a 2024 SS/RHP with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Yorktown Heights, NY who attends Lakeland High School. Recorded a 5.36 second forty-yard dash time. Medium, athletic frame with a high waist and plenty of room to add strength. Primary shortstop with some athleticism in his movements during the fielding process, anticipates on the baseball into approach and displays solid range up the middle. Showed ability to change arm angles when necessary and produced fairly accurate throws across the diamond up to 73 mph during drills. Will continue to improve with additional strength and maturity. Secondary right-handed pitcher that works from an abbreviated windup with quick pace to his movements and some deception. Incorporates belt high leg lift into balance and shorter stride out to foot strike, while working into a three-quarters arm slot. His fastball worked in the 73-75 mph range for most of his outing and flashed natural arm-side life at times. Mixed in a developing 11-5 shaped curveball at 63 mph for strikes, adding and subtracting effectively to add depth to it. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with a high, tight hand set and tight back elbow. Incorporates subtle weight shift into contact and displayed plenty of compact hand speed. Middle-of-the field approach with slightly lofted stroke and good feel for the barrel, uses lower half exceptionally well and flashed some easy gap-to-gap power potential when on-time. Will continue to improve with proper mechanical adjustments on both sides of the ball and additional strength. Good Student.
