Seika Saito is a 2027 SS/RHP, C with a 5-1 110 lb. frame from Issaquah, WA who attends Issaquah. A slender frame with a lean build. A primary shortstop with a good feel for his actions with the glove. Made good plays with his hands as he worked into the transfer. Gets to the ball, brings it to the chest, and had a quick arm showing on throws across. He was able to adjust the arm slot as needed. A left-handed hitter with a high back elbow, a wide set base, and a lot of movement in the hands. They settle in high as he loads with the back elbow up. Has a big hanging leg lift that leads into his rotation through the zone. Showed some good strength with the ability to impact the ball pull-side. Had some jump off the barrel, with a feel for his actions showing during his round of BP. A right-handed pitcher who works from the stretch with a leg lift working down the mound releasing from a higher three-quarters arm slot. Had some quickness to the arm stroke with intent to pull it down and finish through release. Had a good understanding of his release point and landing on-line with good direction. His fastball was up to 70 mph with a little bit of life to it. Showed a bigger breaker with some depth. Mixed in a changeup with some fade to it that was good and effective in missing the barrels.
