Austen Recker is a 2027 RHP/2B, 3B, SS, MIF, IF, OF, UT with a 5-10 147 lb. frame from Excelsior, MN who attends Chanhassen. He has a good frame with a lean, athletic build and plenty of room to add strength. Ran the sixty yard dash in 8.08 seconds. Primary right-handed pitcher that works from the first base side of the rubber. He uses a knee to chest leg kick and has a quick motion to the plate using tall and fall back leg mechanics. He has a shorter stride down the mound and lands in line with his target. He throws with a medium arm action and fires from a high 3/4 arm slot. He does a nice job of hiding the ball well through his motion, allowing his fastball to get on hitters. He pairs this fastball with a 12-6 curve with tons of spin and nice bite and depth. He pounded the zone with both offerings and was able to work ahead of hitters throughout his outing. Secondary outfielder that stays low to the ground throughout the fielding process and fields it out in front of his body with one hand. He makes clean transfers and was able to deliver one hop accurate throws to the bases. Also worked out on the infield, showing urgent actions to the ball and the ability to make accurate throws across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts with an open stance and his weight shifted back with high hands and a high back elbow. He uses a high leg lift trigger for timing and strides into the baseball. He has a short swing that he gets on plane early with and pairs with quick hands through the zone. He looks to make contact out in front of the plate and hit balls hard to the pull side of the field. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
