2021 West Coast Prospect Showcase
Owen Kavanaugh is a 2024 SS/1B, 3B with a 6-1 150 lb. frame from Wrightwood, CA who attends Serrano. Tall, lanky frame with room to add. 7.45 60-yd. Showed traits of being defender on the infielder. Moves well laterally, allowing him to cover ground both ways. Decent arm strength with flashes of on-line carry. Slightly open stance with toe tap timing mechanism. Gets weight on backside well. Improving body control throughout swing will allow him to make contact more consistently. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
