Joey Wey is a 2024 RHP/3B, MIF, OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Freedom. Ran a 7.97 second sixty. Primary right-handed pitcher with a smaller frame. Worked exclusively from the stretch with simple mechanics allowing him to be on time coming down the hill with a on line lower half and average arm stroke with solid arm speed for the age. The fastball topped out at 84 mph while pounding the zone and getting weaker contact. Showed the breaking ball to keep hitters honest as a developing pitch with room to improve the intent while showing 12-6 shape. Showed some stiffness to the infield actions but gets through the ball fine with actions that will play on the corner along with the arm strength to make the throws. Right-handed hitter, starts balanced and in line with the lower half, the bat path works level through the zone with loose wrist and developing power at the point of contact. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
