2023 Florida Workout Showcase (Friday)
Luccas Mendez is a 2026 2B/SS with a 5-10 135 lb. frame from Boca Raton, FL who attends Saint Andrews School. Slender young build with lots of room to get stronger. 7.79 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, moves well laterally and rounds the ball well, gets the glove down early and fields the ball cleanly, arm is loose with some young carry to it, has the athleticism to continue to improve defensively as he gets stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a big leg lift trigger and stride, trigger/stride creates some inconsistency, showed the ability to get his hands thru and his barrel out front and drive the ball when he was on time, has some natural lift in his swing that will benefit him more when he's stronger. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
