2021 Rocky Mountain Workout Showcase
Benjamin Blasco is a 2025 OF/2B, 3B with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Superior, CO who attends Valor Christian. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders, young and lean build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.08 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, attacks the ball in the outfield and fields the ball out front, works through the ball nicely, shows some feel for mechanics, effort at release but generates some carry and arm strength will continue to develop. Young actions in the infield and will continue to refine, shows accuracy on throws across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even base and a still hand set at start of swing. Utilizes a toe tap trigger, loads hands back at start of swing, stays shorter through the zone, linear to downward swing path; best on a line drive plane with flashes of line drive carry off of the barrel when on time. Very good student.
