Brayden Barnes is a 2028 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-7 145 lb. frame from Enterprise, AL who attends Enterprise. Smaller, athletic build with tons of time to continue adding strength. Good runner, ran a 7.14 sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves around the dirt well, good lateral mobility and range, looks natural at the position, glove gets down late at times, good arm across with some carry, recorded throws up to 74 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher, belt high leg lift, medium length arm action to a high three-quarters release point. Gets some sink on the fastball down in the zone, up to 77 mph (2149 RPM). Curveball showed consistent shape and had confidence in the pitch, up to 66 mph (2190 RPM). Right-handed hitter, wide and even base in the stance with the hands set high, works hard to get the barrel inside the ball and impact it to the opposite field, uses the ground well, young bat speed, solid foundational swing with a short path. Named to 2023 13u/14u Sunshine Gulf Coast Top Prospect List.
