Jayven Gonzales is a 2024 OF/RHP/C with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Odessa, TX who attends Odessa. Posted a 7.38 in the 60. Primary OF flashed good upside with arm showing low carry on accurate throws and a quick release. The glove work is clean, should continue to develop quickness as his defensive tool progress. On the mound the right-hander was up to 81 with the fastball with slight cut action at times, and showed a good feel for the curveball with 11/5 shape when he landed it. Right-handed hitter start with an even base. Good feel for the barrel connecting consistently, the swing plane is more level but generates backspin. The process is balanced with more strength to add to impact and found good barrels in game play.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
