Corbin Jones is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Hitchcock, TX who attends Ball High School. Ran a 7.48 60-yard dash. Primary pitcher with good athleticism on the mound. Throws with some funk and has a closed stride with a deep side arm drop and drive delivery. Closed off stride splitting between third base and home side of the plate with feel to stay in the zone. His fastball was up to 77 MPH with heavy sink action and some natural arm side run. Generates a lot of swing and miss on the pitch. Pairs it with a hybrid 11/5 shaped breaking ball with depth. Impressive how he attacks hitters in and out of the zone. Throws from a side slot in the outfield as well. At the plate, creates leverage well and stays on plane with easy strength to the swing. Good feel for the barrel. His highest exit velocity was 81 MPH.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
