LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2022 PG Softball Winter Scouting Combine - Iowa
Grace George is a 5-foot-7, class of 2026 RHP/SS from Bettendorf, IA who attends Pleasant Valley HS. Grace is a talented emerging player who shows projectable skill at more than one position. She ran a 6.23 40-yard dash and was timed at 4.06 from home to first. She also posted a 5'5 standing broad jump. A primary RHP, Grace shows a mechanical operation that is sound now and should get even better as her career unfolds. Her fastball shows good snap and spin and is worked to both sides of the plate well. Her change-up is thrown with FB arm action and is quite deceptive. Her curve and rise both have appropriate spin and action. Grace shows big upside potential and has a high ceiling in the circle. She also took a turn in the MIF and uses her quickness to position with e effort. She has soft hands and a smooth glove. She transitions quickly and creates effective directional momentum towards her target. Her 62-mph throws are firm, hold their plane, and are consistently accurate. At the plate, this RHH can handle the bat especially well in the bunt game. She has a wider and more open stance at the ready. She loads aggressively and triggers with a plan and purpose. She has a flatter path with slight lift and contact. There is noticeable strength in her hands. She flashed natural raw power that should continue to improve. Sound approach at the dish! Although Grace is just scratching the surface, it is obvious she is skilled and driven. Her passion for the sport is palpable. With continued attention to detail, a dedication to a strength and conditioning program, and exposure to a higher competition level, Grace should unquestionably have the opportunity to play at the next level! Her future will be limited only by what she wants to achieve!
