Parker Gay is a 2025 RHP/3B with a 6-1 215 lb. frame from Rocky Mount, NC who attends Southwest Edgecombe. Athletic frame with dense muscular development already and impressive lower half strength. Primary RHP, starting from a narrow stance on the 1B side of rubber, using side step to reach medium leg lift over rubber. Used varying timing in delivery to create extra deception. Works hands from belt to chin back to belt for rhythm before separating into very deep arm path slightly behind his torso. Free and easy overall operation with good core rotation to build his arm speed. Low-3/4 arm angle producing FB with subtle arm side run peaking at 83 mph. Secondary offerings were CB/SL combo. CB has bigger vertical break in the upper-60's and SL was a super firm late breaker in the upper-70's. Secondary 3B, working deliberately through his plays and using full arm path to reach 81 mph across the diamond. Glove was accurate, made plays. RHH working from a wide and slightly open stance, starting with his hands away from his body and employing a significant bat tilt before accelerating to contact. Creating some length in the swing but when shorter and on time there was hard impact. Best swings and contact were in the oppo gap and there is real strength here. Tremendous student in the classroom as well.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
