Jason Busenitz is a 2022 RHP/MIF, OF with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Tecumseh, KS who attends Shawnee Heights. Smaller compact athletic frame. Ran a 7.20 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch, methodical delivery with a high three-quarter arm slot. Consistent drop and drive mechanics. Showed a low 80's fastball on the mound with ride thru the zone. Above average command of the fastball working both sides of the plate well. His mid 60's curve showed 11-5 shape with depth. Pitch has some biting action to when located low in the strike zone. Has a feel to pitch with some present arm speed and pitchability on the mound. In the outfield he showed average first step quickness, some momentum with footwork to the baseball, fields the ball off the the side with chopping steps as a transition to throw. Made accurate throws with average arm strength. Had a square stance at the plate with a small leg kick for timing. Drops his hands and swings uphill to get to a contact point, developing ability to incorporate backside rotation into his swing. Very Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
