2003 Spring Showcase
Strellnar is a Junior shortstop with good actions showing a solid glove and some hitting ability. He is a smaller sized middle infielder who profiles best at second base. He ran a 7.26 in the 60 on our laser and he threw 77 mph from the shortstop position getting a quick release on his throw. We liked what he did defensively in the games showing that he can make the plays. One play he made from SS was excellent showing range, a good glove and a sharp throw to first. At the plate, he lacked lower-half usage for wood and will benefit from getting stronger but he did make good contact and shows potential. He is still a Junior and has almost a year before choosing a College.
