Jaxon Purkey is a 2026 RHP/3B with a 5-9 154 lb. frame from Shawnee, KS who attends De Soto. Smaller compact frame. Ran a 7.98 60-yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher that showed a two pitch mix out of a compact delivery with fluid drop and drive mechanics. Released both the fastball and slider from a three-quarter slot with shorter arm action. Mostly mid to upper 70's fastballs topping out at 78. Slider showed some horizontal bite at its best with developing spin efficiency. Higher spin profile to both the fastball and slider for the age. In the infield showed fundamental footwork to the baseball, got to a low and athletic fielding position, made the routine plays with a solid average and accurate arm across the diamond. Hit from an even base with toe tap timing, strides out a long way and loses some balance. Level bat path through the zone with some extra movements in the swing. Some feel for the barrel when balanced with the hand speed to drive the baseball to the gaps on best swings.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
