Fernando Cruz is a 2026 3B/RHP, MIF with a 5-5 161 lb. frame from Montebello, CA who attends Montebello. He has a smaller frame with a thick build. Ran the sixty yard dash in 9.02 seconds. Primary third baseman that moved well to both sides of his body. He has a quick arm and had throws that carried through the base. Secondary pitcher that features a high leg kick as part of his delivery. He has a balanced motion and shows good pitching ability. He fires from a high 3/4 arm slot and generates sink on his fastball. His secondary offering is a curveball with slurvy actions and 10-4 shape. At the plate, he has a middle of the field approach. He has strength, but leaves some power on the table by not engaging his lower half as much as he should. He showed good bat-to-ball skills in the game, finding barrels throughout the weekend. Excellent student.
